Cheeky Monkey Smoothie Recipe

There is nothing quite like a Cheeky Monkey to lift your spirits and get you moving. Cocoa is great for energy and mood and is high in antioxidants. It is being studied for its power to balance hormones, improves stress resistance and promotes fertility. Plus, with all that protein, you will be sure to be satiated for hours to come. Is that cheeky enough for you? 

Ingredients:

1              banana

2 tsp        cocoa powder

2 cups     non-dairy beverage such as coconut or hemp.

1 tbsp      cashew, almond or seed butter

2 tbsp      protein powder of choice

1/4 tsp     cinnamon

1/4 tsp     ginger

 

Directions:

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Makes 3 cups.
