Ingredients:
5 cups cubed unpeeled organic apples or pears
1/2 cup filtered water 💧
2 Tbsp ground flax seeds
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon 🤎
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
2 Tbsp hemp hearts
3 to 4 tbsp protein powder
1 Tbsp organic lemon juice 🍋
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch sea salt
Toppers:
1 tsp coconut nectar or other sweetener of choice
1/4 cup coconut milk 🥥
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, bring the apples or pears and water to a boil, then cover and reduce the heat to a simmer for 15 minutes. Using a whisk or fork, mash the apples in the pot.
2. Remove from the heat and stir in all the remaining ingredients. Add in the coconut milk and sweetener if desired. Serve warm.
